DAY DREAM BELIEVERS
There’s much discussion of going back to ‘normal’. I’ve been contemplating what that means. Some people can’t wait, others fear how to transition.
I cant help but think we cant go back to normal. Normal never was.
Our pre-corona existence was not normal. Our society was getting faster, more robotic, there was exhaustion, depletion, disconnection despite being more ‘on’ than ever and wanting and having more and more was becoming second nature.
We are being given the opportunity to paint a whole new picture. One that fits all of humanity and nature.
What we have been forced to leave behind we needed to leave behind. What is getting us through is what we will need to take forward, all the rest is up to us.
So my advice and what I’ve been practicing is to dream. Daydream.
Create in your mind a picture of an ideal life – one in which you will be truly peaceful.
DREAM. While you have so much time. DREAM of the life you want. DREAM of the world you desire to exist in. Look for the parts of your new world you want to extend, and the parts you want to leave behind.
From there we can weave solid foundations for whatever comes next.
We can heal, we can trust, we can create.
Take a moment to write down your dream — of the life you want and the world you want to exist in.
What does your life in this new world look like? In what ways does this new world look different from the old world?
Notice how the most pleasurable, joyful moments, truthfully are never attributed to perfection or to everything being worked out. They come when we just let go, relax into life and embrace the moment.
You’re exactly where you need to be, you’re already whole.
We have chance now to let go of whatever has accumulated, built up across the course of our lives and got in the way of us knowing who we really are and what really matters.
So close your eyes, enjoy some daydreaming and give yourself time.
